I’ve neglected providing actual updates here for a bit. Here’s a bit of an attempt to get back on track.
First, my “issue” of Wily Writers has gone live. You can read or listen to Christine Danse’s “Fear of Darkness” and Cassandra D’Angelo’s “Catch and Release” now!
I’ve slowed down in writing reviews for Rise Reviews, but I’m still plugging along at one a month. Be sure to check out reviews for:
I also have a page on GoodReads now, where you can also follow my blog. I’ll be crossposting reviews there as well.
On the fiction front, I have sent a revised story back to an editor who’d requested a rewrite. I’m waiting with bated breath for her response.

I received an email from All Romance eBooks on Friday with links to the anthology eBooks, but I was out of town with future in-laws and didn’t have very good Internet access. You can find the sweet romance anthology, which includes my story, here:

In other news, I’m plugging away at my novel. I’m currently about 37K words with only three more days left. Unplanned trips to the hospital and spending Thanksgiving out of town did not do me any favors on this front. I’m hoping to have a strong rally today and tomorrow. I can’t vouch for how much writing time I’ll have on Tuesday so I want to hedge my bets as much as I can. Wish me luck!

Despite a strong rally, I did not make it to Round 2. But kudos should go out to Frances Pauli, who received more votes than I. From the conversations I’ve had with her over email she seems quite awesome. I encourage you to vote for her story if you are so inclined. Voting for Round 2 ends on Thursday the 14th.And if you enjoy her writing you can short stories on her site and a novel in ebook format. Roarke, a sci-fi romance, is availbel for purchase through Divine Destines and Amazon.com.
My story is no longer up for reading right now, but I’ve confirmed with the folks at ARe that after the contest all 32 stories will be compiled into ebook anthologies that you can obtain for free from them. I will provide more info when I have it.
I have a few anthologies to which I’m looking to submit. I will probably post samples behind a password if people would like to read them and offer feedback.
